As of December 31, 2008, the company owned 160 aircrafts and 71 engines. It also provides aircraft management services, and aircraft and limited engine MRO and aircraft disassembly services through its repair stations. In addition, it offers various aircraft services, including remarketing; collecting rental and maintenance payments, monitoring aircraft maintenance, monitoring and enforcing contract compliance, and accepting delivery and redelivery of aircrafts; conducting ongoing lessee financial performance reviews; periodically inspecting the leased aircrafts; coordinating technical modifications to aircraft to meet new lessee requirements; conducting restructurings negotiations in connection with lease defaults; repossessing aircrafts; arranging and monitoring insurance coverage; registering and de-registering aircrafts; and providing market research. Its management services include leasing and remarketing, cash management and treasury, technical advisory, and accounting and administrative services. AerCap Holdings N.V. was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands with additional offices in Texas, Florida, and Arizona, as well as in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and China.
