It also provides clothing and various accessories, including sunglasses, belts, socks, and hats under AEROPOSTALE, AERO, 87, and other related trademarks. The company also sells its merchandise through its e-commerce Web site, aeropostale.com. As of January 31, 2009, it operated 914 stores, consisting of 874 Aéropostale stores in 48 states and Puerto Rico, 29 Aéropostale stores in Canada, and 11 Jimmy’Z stores in 10 states. The company was formerly known as MSS-Delaware, Inc. and changed its name to Aeropostale, Inc. in February 2000. Aeropostale was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in New York, New York.
