The Mechatronics System segment focuses on peripheral devices for semiconductor and component test systems. This segment offers test handlers applying mechatronics technologies, which handle semiconductor devices and automate tests, device interfaces with measured devices, and operations related to nano-technology. The Services, Support, and Others segment consists of various customer solutions, support services, and equipment lease business. The company also engages in research and development of measuring and testing technologies. It serves semiconductor manufacturers, foundries, and test houses. The company sells its products in Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Advantest Corporation was formerly known as Takeda Riken Industry Co., Ltd. The company was founded in 1954 and is based in Tokyo, Japan.
