Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. designs and manufactures encoding, digital transport, and broadband products for the cable market in the United States. It offers analog video headend products, including satellite receivers, integrated receiver/decoders, demodulators, modulators, antennas and antenna mounts, amplifiers, equalizers, and processors to acquire, process, and manipulate signals to create an analog channel lineup for further transmission; and digital video headend products, such as high definition (HD) and standard definition MPEG-2 encoders, quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) multiplexers, transcoders and digital QAM up-converters for data-over-cable applications, digital HD television processors for delivery of HDTV programming, QAM modulators, and QTM transcoders. The company also provides distribution products comprising line extenders, broadband amplifiers, directional taps, splitters, and wall taps to permit signals to travel from the headend to its destination in a terminal location along a fiber optic/coaxial cable distribution network. In addition, Blonder Tongue offers fiber products, such as optical transmitters, receivers, couplers, and splitters; reception products; addressable products, including interdiction and addressable multi-tap products; high-speed data products, such as standard DOCSIS cable modems, DOCSIS/Euro cable modem termination systems, and the MegaPort solution for broadband Internet access; telephony products; microwave products; and test products, including analog and digital QPSK analyzers, palm held analog and digital analyzers, and signal level meters, as well as distributes voice and data products. The company sells its products to multi-dwelling unit, lodging/hospitality, and institutional markets, including hospitals, prisons, and schools through direct sales force and distributors. Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. was founded in 1950 and is headquartered in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
