The Banking/Finance segment provides retail-banking and consumer lending services, including automotive lending related to the purchase, securitization, and servicing of retail installment sales contracts; consumer credit and debit cards; real estate equity lines; and home equity/mortgage lending. It offers its services to individuals, foundations, and institutions in the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia. Franklin Resources was founded in 1947 and is headquartered in San Mateo, California.
