As of December 31, 2008, it owned and operated 315 radio stations in 59 mid-sized media markets in the United States; and 32 radio stations in 9 markets, including San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta that were owned by Cumulus Media Partners, LLC. In addition, Cumulus Media provides sales and marketing services for one radio station under a local marketing agreement. The company was founded in 1997 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
