It also operates 278 leased departments located within department stores and baby specialty stores in the United States. Motherhood Maternity brand serves the value-priced portion of the maternity apparel industry; and these stores are located in regional malls, strip and power centers, and central business districts. A Pea in the Pod Stores is the luxury maternity brand; and these stores are located in regional malls, lifestyle centers, and central business districts. Mimi Maternity brand serves the medium-priced portion of the maternity apparel industry. Destination Maternity superstores carry Motherhood, Mimi, and Pea merchandise, as well as a line of nursing accessories, health and fitness products, books, and body and nutritional products. The company also sells its products on the Web through its DestinationMaternity.com and brand-specific Websites. In addition, it distributes its Oh Baby by Motherhood collection through a licensed arrangement at Kohl's stores in the United States and on Kohls.com. Destination Maternity Corporation was formerly known as Mothers Work, Inc. and changed its name in December, 2008. The company was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
