Its services include outpatient dialysis services; hospital inpatient dialysis services; and ESRD laboratory services. The company also offers infusion therapy services; DaVita Rx, pharmacy that offers oral medications to patients with ESRD; vascular access services; disease management services and special needs plans; physician services; and clinical research programs. As of December 31, 2008, it operated or provided administrative services to 1,449 outpatient dialysis centers located in 43 states and the District of Columbia, serving approximately 112,000 patients. The company also provided acute inpatient dialysis services in approximately 700 hospitals and related laboratory services. DaVita Inc. was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in El Segundo, California.
