EV Energy Partners, L.P. engages in the acquisition, production, and development of oil and gas properties. It holds interests in various properties located in the Appalachian basin, primarily in Ohio and West Virginia; the Monroe Field properties situated in three parishes in northeast Louisiana; the Mid-Continent area properties located in six counties in western Oklahoma, three counties in Texas, and two parishes in North Louisiana; and other natural gas properties in Michigan, and central and east Texas. The company offers its products primarily to marketing companies and industrial users. As of December 31, 2006, EV Energy Partners had estimated net proved reserves of 2 million barrels of oil and 49.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas. It also had interests in 31 net oil producing wells and 1,809 net natural gas producing wells. EV Energy GP, L.P. serves as the general partner of the company. EV Energy Partners was founded in 2006 and is based in Houston, Texas.
