StealthGas Inc (GASS) Transportation, Water Transportation
StealthGas Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the ownership of a fleet of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers that provide international seaborne transportation services to LPG producers and users in Greece and internationally. It carries various petroleum and petrochemical gas products in liquefied form, including propane, butane, butadiene, isopropane, propylene, and vinyl chloride monomer, which are byproducts in the production of crude oil and natural gas. The company offers its services to producers of LPG products, such as national and other independent energy companies and energy traders; and industrial users of those products. It also charters product carriers that carry refined petroleum products comprising gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, and jet fuel, as well as edible oils and chemicals. As of June 15, 2009, StealthGas had a fleet of 39 LPG carriers with a carrying capacity of 173,499 cubic meters, as well as 2 product carriers with a capacity of 94,000 deadweight tones. The company was founded in 2004 and is based in Kifisia, Greece.
