Asia Tigers Fund, Inc. is a closed-ended equity mutual fund launched and managed by Blackstone Asia Advisors L.L.C. It invests in the public equity markets of Asia. The fund makes its investments across diversified sectors. It primarily invests in equity securities of Asian companies across all market capitalizations. The fund employs both quantitative and fundamental analysis to create its portfolio. Fundamental analysis relies heavily on direct discussions with management both in the U.S. as well as during frequent trips to Asia. Quantitative analysis involves the use of both asset allocation models and bottom-up stock screening models. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the MSCI AC Asia Free Ex-Japan Index. It was formed on November 19, 1993 and is domiciled in the United States.
