Gastar Exploration Ltd., an independent energy company, engages in the exploration, development, and production of natural gas and oil in the United States and Australia. It also involves in the development of coal bed methane (CBM). Gastar Exploration Ltd. was founded in 1987 and is based in Houston, Texas.
