Western Asset Inflation Management Fund, Inc. is a closed ended fixed income mutual fund launched and managed by Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC. It is co-managed by Western Asset Management Company and Western Asset Management Company Limited. The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It invests the majority of its assets in inflation protected securities issued by U.S. and non-U.S. governments, their agencies or instrumentalities and corporations that are structured to provide protection against inflation and certain other fixed income securities that will provide protection against inflation. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the Lehman Brothers Global Real Index: U.S. TIPS. It was formerly known as Salomon Brothers Inflation Management Fund, Inc. Western Asset Inflation Management Fund, Inc. was formed on March 16, 2004 and is domiciled in the United States.
