The company distributes insurance products through a group of professional general agencies, and wholesale insurance brokers who in turn sell its insurance products to insureds through retail insurance brokers. It has operations in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The company was formerly known as United National Group, Ltd. and changed its name to United America Indemnity, Ltd. in January 2005. United America Indemnity, Ltd. was founded in 1970 and is based in George Town, the Cayman Islands.
