The company's products enable hospitals and blood banks to manufacture a therapeutic dose of stem cells, wound healing proteins, or growth factors from a single unit of cord blood or the patient's own blood. Its products include BioArchive System, an automated cryogenic system used in stem cell therapy to cryopreserve and archive stem cells and tissue for future transplant and treatment; AutoXpress Platform, which isolates and retrieves stem cells from umbilical cord blood; MarrowXpress, that isolates and retrieves stem cells from bone marrow aspirate; and CryoSeal Fibrin Sealant System, an automated system used to prepare an autologous hemostatic surgical sealant from a patient's own blood or from a single donor. The company's product also includes Thrombin Processing Device, a sterile blood processing disposable that prepares activated thrombin from a small aliquot of plasma. ThermoGenesis Corp. was founded in 1985 and is based in Rancho Cordova, California.
