It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund invests in the stocks of the companies across diversified sectors. It primarily invests in foreign bonds, corporate bonds, U.S. treasury obligations, and cash equivalents. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the Credit Suisse High Yield Index. It was formerly known as Scudder Strategic Income Trust. DWS Strategic Income Trust was formed on April 29, 1994 is domiciled in the United States.
