The Broadcast segment owns and operates 18 network-affiliated television stations. The Interactive Media segment primarily provides online news, information, and entertainment. This segment comprises approximately 75 online enterprises and 3 interactive advertising services companies. The company has a strategic alliance with Yahoo, Inc. to deliver classified advertising to consumers. Media General was founded in 1879 and is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
