It offers furniture systems; modular systems under the Action Office, Q System, Ethospace, and Resolve brands, as well as under My Studio Environments and Vivo Interiors trade marks; an array of seating products under the Aeron, Mirra, Celle, Equa, Ergon, and Ambi brands; storage products that primarily include Meridian brand of filing products; wooden casegoods under the Geiger brand; and freestanding furniture products under the Passage and Abak brands. The company, through its Convia business, also offers a programmable, modular electrical building infrastructure solution that enables building owners and individuals to adapt their habitat. In addition, it offers Teneo storage furniture, a system of free standing storage, hosting, and display pieces for individual and group work settings. Herman Miller sells its products primarily through independent contract office furniture dealers, its own dealer network, independent dealers and retailers, and through the Internet in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Singapore, China, India, and the Netherlands. It has a strategic alliance with Legrand North America to develop energy management strategies for commercial buildings. The company was founded in 1905 and is based in Zeeland, Michigan.
