Manitex International, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the design, manufacture, and distribution of engineered lifting solutions. It offers a line of boom trucks and sign cranes for use in industrial projects, energy exploration, and infrastructure development, including, roads, bridges, and commercial construction. The company also provides rough terrain forklifts for use in commercial and military applications; special mission oriented vehicles; and other specialized carriers, heavy material handling transporters, and steel mill equipment. In addition, it offers specialized lifting equipment for utility, ship building, and steel mill industries; and trolley boom unloader, which delivers concrete, precast, and masonry supplies to construction sites. Manitex International sells its products primarily in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the Russian Federation, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, Turkey, China, and Chile. The company was formerly known as Veri-Tek International, Corp. and changed its name to Manitex International, Inc. in May 2008. Manitex International was founded in 1993 and is based in Bridgeview, Illinois.
