MYR Group Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides utility and electrical construction services in the continental United States. It operates in two segments, Transmission and Distribution, and Commercial and Industrial (C&I). The Transmission and Distribution segment's services include the construction and maintenance of high voltage transmission lines, substations, and lower voltage underground and overhead distribution systems. This segment also offers emergency restoration services in response to hurricane, ice, or other storm related damage. The C&I segment provides electrical contracting services for commercial and industrial construction in the western United States. Its C&I contracts cover services for airports, hospitals, data centers, hotels, casinos, arenas, convention centers, manufacturing plants, processing facilities, and transportation control and management systems. This segment also provides telecommunication installation services comprising fiber optic and copper communication installation for the transmission of voice, data, and video; and ramp metering, signalized intersections, and fiber optic interconnections for traffic management systems, as well as highway and bridge lighting installation and maintenance. The company serves investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, cooperatives, federally-owned utilities, independent power producers, and independent transmission companies, as well as general contractors, commercial and industrial facility owners, local governments, and developers. MYR Group, formerly known as The L.E. Myers Co. Group, was founded in 1891 and is based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
