As of December 31, 2008, it owned working interests in approximately 750,000 gross acres and 2,000 gross producing wells in Anadarko and Arkoma Basins; an interest in approximately 1.2 million gross acres and approximately 1,950 gross producing wells in the Rocky Mountains; interests in approximately 400,000 gross acres and approximately 1,000 gross producing wells in onshore Texas; and interests in 76 leases in deepwater with approximately 438,000 gross acres and 26 leases on the shelf. The company also had proved reserves of approximately 2.95 trillion cubic feet equivalent. In addition, it has operations in Malaysia and the People's Republic of China. The company was founded in 1988 and is based in Houston, Texas.
