The Tools segment imports, manufactures, and sells pneumatic hand tools, primarily for the industrial, retail, and automotive markets; and imports and sells compressor air filters. This segment's product line includes sanders, grinders, drills, saws, and impact wrenches. It also markets various products, including pipe and bolt dies, pipe taps, wrenches, vises and stands, pipe and tubing cutting equipment, hydrostatic test pumps, and replacement electrical components for pipe cutting and threading machines; and imports and packages hardware products comprising locksets, deadbolts, door and window security hardware, rope-related hardware products, and fire escape ladders. This segment offers its products under the Florida Pneumatic, Universal Tool, ATP, Thaxton, THOR, and Eureka brand names. Its products are sold to distributors, retailers, and private label customers through in-house sales personnel and manufacturers' representatives. The Hardware segment manufactures and imports door, window, and fencing hardware, including rollers, hinges, window operators, sash locks, custom zinc castings, and door closers. This segment also imports and distributes residential hardware and other accessories for new construction and home improvement applications, such as wood and iron stair parts; and kitchen and bath hardware consisting of residential plumbing fixtures. Its products are sold through in-house sales personnel and manufacturersÂ’ representatives to distributors, retailers, and OEM customers. The company was founded in 1959 and is based in Melville, New York.
