Patriot National Bancorp also offers commercial real estate and construction loans to area businesses and developers; real estate loans, including home mortgages, home improvement loans, bridge loans, home equity loans, and lines of credit to individuals; personal loans, such as lines of credit, installment loans, overdraft protection, and credit cards; and commercial loans, such as secured and unsecured loans to service companies, real estate developers, manufacturers, restaurants, wholesalers, retailers, and professionals, as well as to small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, it provides money orders, traveler's checks, automated teller machines, Internet banking, bill paying, remote deposit capture, and debit card services; and solicits and processes mortgage loan applications from consumers on behalf of permanent investors and originates loans for sale. As of December 31, 2008, the company operated 15 branches in Connecticut and 3 branches in New York. Patriot National Bancorp was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.
