Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. engages in the distribution and retail of professional beauty supplies. It operates in two segments, Sally Beauty Supply and Beauty Systems Group. The Sally Beauty Supply segment offers third-party branded and label beauty products, including hair care products, styling appliances, skin and nail care products, and other beauty items to retail consumers and salon professionals. It offers beauty products from the Clairol, Revlon and Conair brand names. The Beauty Systems Group segment operates as a beauty supply distributor offering professional brands directly to salons and salon professionals through its sales force and professional-only stores. As of September 30, 2008, Sally Beauty Holdings operated 3,580 stores and supplied to 193 franchised stores in North America, as well as in selected European countries and Japan. The company was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Denton, Texas.
