Western Asset Worldwide Income Fund Inc. is a closed ended fixed income mutual fund launched and managed by Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC. It is co-managed by Western Asset Management Company and Western Asset Management Company Limited. The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It invests in securities of issuers that are incorporated in or generate the majority of their revenue in, emerging market countries. The fund also invests in a broad range of other U.S. and non-U.S. investment grade and high-yield fixed-income securities. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the JPMorgan Emerging Markets Bond Index Global Index. The fund was formerly known as Salomon Brothers Worldwide Income Fund Inc. Western Asset Worldwide Income Fund Inc. was formed on October 21, 1993 and is domiciled in the United States.
