The company's products are used by various capital goods equipment manufacturers to control force, speed, and motion in construction, agricultural, mining, fire and rescue, and other utility equipment, as well as in a range of industrial applications, such as automation machinery, presses, injection molding equipment, and machine tools. It sells its products primarily through independent fluid power distributors. The company has operations in the United States, England, Germany, France, Korea, India, and the People's Republic of China. Sun Hydraulics Corporation was founded in 1970 and is based in Sarasota, Florida.
