The company's vascular intervention products are designed to treat a range of cardiovascular disease, including peripheral and coronary arterial diseases. It also markets non-laser aspiration catheters for the removal of thrombus and non-laser support catheters to facilitate crossing of coronary and peripheral arterial blockages. The company has operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, the Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Puerto Rico. It has strategic alliances with Kensey Nash Corporation and ELANA BV. The Spectranetics Corporation was founded in 1984 and is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
