It also markets its POS data communications services to entities responsible for the transmission of state lottery transactions, federal and state electronic benefits transfer, and healthcare transactions, as well as directly to various merchants and retailers. In addition, the company operates unaffiliated SS7 networks, which offer call signaling and database access services, including local number portability databases, line information databases, toll-free databases, calling name delivery databases, validation and fraud control services, and ID Plus for telephone name and address database; and VoIP peering and other telecommunication services, such as LEConnect data services and short message service offload services to wireline and wireless telecommunication service providers. In addition, TNS provides data and voice communications services to the financial services community in support of the Financial Information eXchange messaging protocol and other transaction-oriented trading applications. It provides services to customers in the United States and in 29 countries, including Canada and Mexico, as well as Europe, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific regions. TNS, Inc. was founded in 1990 and is based in Reston, Virginia.
