It also provides credit cards, automated teller machine services, Internet banking, and online bill payment services. In addition, Union Bankshares, through its non-banking subsidiaries, provides securities, brokerage, and investment advisory services; mortgage loan products in Virginia, South Carolina, and Maryland; and various insurance products, including long term care insurance and business owner policies. As of March 31, 2009, it operated 58 branches in the northern, central, Rappahannock, Tidewater, and Northern Neck regions of Virginia. The company was founded in 1902 and is headquartered in Bowling Green, Virginia.
