It also sells its products through electrical distribution trade, including electrical and lighting distributors, and manufactured housing companies, as well as to a home improvement retailer. In addition, Universal Security Instruments markets its products through its own sales catalogs and brochures, and Web site. The company was founded in 1969 and is based in Owings Mills, Maryland.
