Village Super Market, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates a chain of ShopRite supermarkets in the United States. Its superstores feature specialty departments, such as home meal replacement, an on-site bakery, and an expanded delicatessen, including prepared foods, a range of natural and organic foods, ethnic and international foods, and a seafood section, as well as salad bars and bakeries. The company's superstores also offer a selection of non-food items, such as cut flowers, health and beauty aids, greeting cards, and small appliances, as well as photo processing and pharmacy store. As of July 26, 2008, Village Super Market operated a chain of 25 supermarkets, 17 of which are located in northern New Jersey, 1 in northeastern Pennsylvania, and 7 in southern New Jersey. The company was founded in 1933 and is based in Springfield, New Jersey.
