The company's products include NM-B cable, the non-metallic sheathed cable used as interior wiring in homes, apartments, and manufactured housing; UF-B cable, the underground feeder cable used to conduct power underground to outside lighting and other applications remote from buildings; and THWN-2 and armored cables, which are used as feeder, circuit, and branch wiring in commercial and industrial buildings. Its customers include wholesale electrical distributors, who sell electric building wire and various other products to electrical contractors, as well as to retail home improvement centers. The company sells its products directly, as well as through independent manufacturersÂ’ representatives in the United States. Encore Wire Corporation was founded in 1989 and is based in McKinney, Texas.
