W&T Offshore Inc (WTI) Energy, Oil & Gas Operations
W&T Offshore, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the acquisition, exploitation, exploration, production, and development of oil and natural gas properties in the Gulf of Mexico. It has interests in approximately 148 producing fields in federal and state waters; leases covering approximately 1.4 million gross acres in the outer continental shelf off the coasts of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama; and interests in approximately 516 platforms. As of December 31, 2008, the company had proved reserves of 491.1 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent. W&T Offshore, Inc. was founded in 1983 and is based in Houston, Texas.
