The company fabricates precious metals and their alloys into brazing alloys consisting of gold, silver, palladium, copper, nickel, and aluminum based materials. It provides precision electroplating for electronic and electrical components; various steel tubing products; engineered materials comprising fasteners and fastening systems; plastic and steel fittings, and connectors for natural gas and water distribution service lines; exothermic welding products; and electro-galvanized and painted cold rolled sheet steel products. The company also offers electronic materials, including high performance materials, as well as silicone rubber-based insulation materials; and coated materials comprising adhesive coated cast and calendared vinyl films, cast vinyl fabric, and custom-engineered laminates, as well as coated and laminated films, foils, foams, and papers. In addition, it provides replacement products and services, including meat-room products and maintenance services for the meat and deli departments of supermarkets; for restaurants; for meat and fish processing plants; and for the distributors of electrical saws and cutting equipment. WHX Corporation serves customers in the construction, electronics, telecommunications, home appliance OEM, transportation, utility, medical, semiconductor, aerospace, general manufacturing, military electronics, automotive, and railroad industries, as well as the signage industry. The company sells its products through direct sales force, distributors, and manufacturer's representatives. WHX Corporation was founded in 1852 and is based in White Plains, New York.
